Junior Olympic Teams
West Valley Gymnastics School has a long history of competitive success. We are very proud to have an Olympic champion in our ranks as well as numerous gymnasts who have gone on compete for collegiate teams. We believe in building a strong foundation for all of our athletes from the start of their competitive careers. Our coaches are dedicated to providing detailed, technical training specific to each level of the Junior Olympic program. The values of our J.O. and Elite program include efficient practices, self-motivated athletes and strong work ethic.
Ages 5+ (must be 6 to officially compete)
This class meets 10.5 hours each week.
Level 3 is the first Junior Olympic competitive group at West Valley Gymnastics School. Throughout their time in Level 3, the young girls are introduced to the mental and physical aspects of being a team gymnast. Our Level 3 coaches provide technical, hands-on training and a supportive environment to prepare the athletes for continued success in gymnastics.
This class meets 13 hours per week.
Level 4 is the second Junior Olympic competitive group at West Valley Gymnastics School. Our Level 4 coaches provide technical, hands-on training and a supportive environment to prepare the athletes for continued success in gymnastics.
This class meets 14+ hours per week.
Level 5 is the third Junior Olympic team training group at West Valley Gymnastics School. As Level 5 is the final level of USAG Compulsory gymnastics, our Level 5 coaches focus on preparing these girls for their competitive season as well as introducing them to more advanced skills for Optional level gymnastics.
This class meets 16+ hours week.
Level 6 is the first optional team training group at West Valley. At this level, our coaches are dedicated to helping our athletes in their transition from compulsory gymnastics to the more challenging optional training model.
This class meets 18+ hours week.
Level 7 is the second Junior Olympic optional level. At West Valley Gymnastics School, the optional training program places emphasis on strong basics, efficient workouts and self-motivation.
This class meets 20+ hours week.
Levels 8, 9 and 10 are the final phases of the Junior Olympic optional track in USA Gymnastics.
The Elite Program is the USA Gymnastics track designed to provide competitive experiences for athletes aspiring to the National Team, Pre-Elite Training Squad and the Olympic Team.

This class meets 2-4 hours per week.
TOPs is a talent search and educational program for female gymnasts ages 7-10 and their coaches.
