Around the Gym

The 2017 Meet Season is back in action!  We started off our season with our annual Intrasquad meet hosted at WVGS on August 12th.  This is a great way for our gymnasts to get a feel for how meets run, work out their nerves and prep for upcoming competitions that take place outside of their home gym.

Our first official meet was Judges Cup at Technique Gymnastics in Rancho Cordova August 27th.  All of our gymnasts, both individually and as a team, performed at their best and we are proud of them all!  We know this season holds great things for these young athletes.

We are excited to announce our Team awards:

Level 3: 1st Place

Level 4 Session 1: 3rd Place

Level 4 Session 2: 2nd Place

July 28th kicked off the 2017 Hopes Championships/U.S. Classic in Chicago, IL.  WVGS gymnasts Samantha and Ciena accompanied by their coaches Paul and Judy were excited and prepared for the weekend events.
Samantha competed on Friday, July 28th for the Hopes Championships and was outstanding.  We are very proud of her growth and progress this season, we know big things are in store for this lady!
Saturday, July 29th was Ciena’s turn at the U.S. Classic.  Another amazing job, and she qualified for the P&G Championships!  This elite meet will take place August 17-20th in Anaheim, CA.  We look forward to watching her compete and will post results soon!

As a courtesy to our neighbors we share the building with, please do not park in front of other businesses. We want to make sure they have those spaces for their customers. We understand afternoons are busy at WVGS but parking can be found directly in front of our main doors, several spaces around the back and on the side as well. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
