Our History

Welcome to West Valley Gymnastics School, the premier South Bay gymnastics school building happy, healthy, successful children through the sport of gymnastics for over 25 years.

West Valley Gymnastic School's 18,000 square foot facility includes a separate team and recreational gym. The facility includes 4 trampolines, over 22 balance beams, 4 bar sets and a giant foam pit!

Our preschool program is a great foundation for your pre-K student. This program builds social skills and self-esteem necessary for success in Kindergarten as well as coordination and motor skills to further their gymnastics and physical progress.

In our recreational program students learn basic through advanced gymnastics skills. These skills not only prepare them for high level gymnastics but build an unparalleled foundation for any physical activity from Ballet to Football. Physical benefits aside this program also builds self confidence and promotes self worth, which are especially essential during adolescence.

Our Development and Team programs accomplish all the benefits of our recreational program while training gymnasts to become elite competitors. Our number one goal is always... happy, healthy, successful children, no matter what program they participate in!

West Valley has been under the ownership of 1996 and 2000 Olympic coach, Mark Young, since 1981. Amy Chow started at West Valley gymnastics at the age of 3 in our preschool program and ended up in our team program, where she went on to become a two time Olympic champion. Also notable are the scholarships that we have helped our students gain at many of the finest Universities, including colleges such as Berkeley and Stanford University.
